The game of softball is won by “winning the game within the game” along with crisp fundamentals (fielding, throwing, catching, communication, etc.). I can say from experience that this saying also applies to strength training. Performing the fundamentals movements (push, pull, squat, hinge etc.) often and with great technique equates to positive physical and mental results and the ability to progress to higher levels of training.
